EV THICK BUGGER 30Z

REG# CDGV146941 • Tattoo: EV30Z • DOB: 03/02/12 • View Video

EV Thick Bugger 30Z certainly lives up to his name. One of the thickest, meatiest, most muscular bulls out there. Thick Bugger drew a lot of interest this fall, as well as bringing home the 2012 Farm Fair Gelbvieh Bull Calf Champion, the 2012 Farm Fair Reserve Champion Gelbvieh Bull as well as winning the 2012 Wish List Jackpot in Ponoka.

This fellow has had close to 4 lbs of gain/day since birth, is easy going and you just can't get around the meat he carries! I believe this fellow will certainly make some calves that are going to stand out in the Gelbvieh world as well. He had a little higher birth weight, however his dam is a big broody cow that is likely in the 15-1600 lb range, so he fits right into the 7% rule of thumb.

His dam has great feet and udder, thick and powerful....and the sire EV Red 5X has proven himself as well. Hair, gain, muscle and out cross lineage....he certainly is something to check out.

EV BUSTER 28Z

EV Buster 28Z is quite an outstanding son of JRI Top Recruit 254U82. His dam was one of our most prolific dams at Eyot. EV Petunia 25P produced a Sweetheart Winner as well as a National Bull Futurity Winner in 2009. (Please check “Highlights Page” for pics)  She consistently produces easy fleshing offspring with good muscle, good tops and stylish profiles. Buster certainly falls in this category. Wide topped, great testicular development and very stylish. He is also one of the quietest, easiest going bulls we have had at Eyot…at this stage we can walk out to his pen and put his halter on… if he doesn’t meet you at the gate looking for a scratch…

The following was copied from Judd Ranches website on the sire, JRI Top Recruit 254U82 http://www.juddranch.com/gelbvieh-herd-sires/gelbvieh-herd-sires/detail/id/6057

“Homozygous Polled Purebred Gelbvieh
Actual weaning weight off of a 1st calf heifer: 884
JRI Top Recruit 254U82 was a member of the 2009 National Champion Pen of 3 Gelbvieh Bulls. His dam was a first calf heifer, and he posted a 4.48 pound average daily gain and a 116 gain test ratio. Top Recruit comes from one of the greatest Dam of Merit/Dam of Distinction cow families in the breed.”

EV DANDY BOY JBM 82W ET

REG# CDGV132170

Dandy Boy was an ET from our Gem Dandy and JBM Paradee 14N that certainly worked. We used 82W for a few select cows when he was just 11 months old as we were  so excited to see what he could do.....and we were certainly pleased with the results. CARL BUELOW, of BASHAW AB has him now and Carl seems quite impressed with his easy keeping ability.
